SYNOPSIS :

On December 24 in the middle of the afternoon, Alexandra, 35, makes an important decision that will change her life: leaving her marital home with her 7-year-old daughter Léa. She asks her to make a promise: to say nothing to his father.

DIRECTOR STATEMENT :

The purpose of this film is to denounce violence against women.

Because children are very often the indirect and silent victims of conjugal violence, it is through their eyes that the film is built.

These child witnesses, who are torn by their love for their two parents, live in spite of themselves in an environment of violence. This environment will necessarily have psychological consequences for their future development, their health and their perception of gender relations.

The protection of the child being close to my heart, the story of the film will be lived and told in the eyes of the child. If women who are victims of domestic violence do not have the courage to leave for themselves, they also find it for their children.

To write this film I made contact with the Léa association, whose mission is to support women victims of all forms of violence. Thanks to her I collected testimonies of women victims of violence to be closer to reality and refine the psychological profile of my characters.

Partner of the film, this short film will allow the Léa association to develop prevention actions to denounce violence against women. In this logic, the film's images can be used to make a 30-second prevention spot for them.

Few victims dare to say, emancipate, leave. I wish, through this short film, to give them this courage.
